The Green Bay Packers moving on from Aaron Rodgers just over one calendar year ago ushered in a new era. One that is now led by Jordan Love.
Rodgers knows he is a polarizing athlete and that it comes with many critics. He recently fired back to those critics knowing they’ll tune in to see him play.
Former Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Fires Back At Fans Who Don’t Like Him

According to Jared Dubin of CBS Sports:
The 2023 season was supposed to be a big one for the New York Jets. Not just on the field, but also on TV. After the Jets acquired Aaron Rodgers via trade last offseason, the league stacked the schedule with prime-time games — including one on “Monday Night Football” against the division rival Buffalo Bills in Week 1.
We know what happened next. Rodgers tore his Achilles just four plays into the season, the Jets took a turn for the worse, and so did the quality of those games on TV. Fast forward a year, and the Jets once again have a schedule jam-packed with prime-time contests: six of them in the first 11 weeks, to be exact. (Two each on “Monday Night Football,” “Thursday Night Football,” and “Sunday Night Football.”)
And Rodgers himself knows why. “We are must-watch TV and that’s pretty obvious. Everyone knows that,” Rodgers said during a radio interview, via Pro Football Focus. “Whether you love or hate me, people want to see me play.”
Love or hate him, Rodgers is right. People do want to see him play. Not just because of what football fans missed out on seeing last year, but also because he’s one of the best players in NFL history and he’s coming back from a major injury and, oh yeah, he’s on the Jets now!

Rodgers Looks To Get Back To Championship Contention In 2024

The hype surrounding the Jets last season was understandable. After a strong 2022 showing, the defense was loaded, and Rodgers was now at the helm of the offense. There’s nothing worse than losing your future Hall of Fame quarterback on the fourth snap of the season, but the Jets’ defense played excellent and helped the team to a respectable 7-10 finish.
There is no doubt that the 2024 Jets are considerably better than the 2023 Jets on paper. This team’s roster is hard to compare with those of the other 31 NFL teams without thinking they are legitimate title contenders.
Additionally, the NFC East looks to be up for grabs. The Bills moved on from a number of veterans, highlighted by Stefon Diggs.
The Dolphins did little to get better this off-season. The Patriots are likely to start a rookie quarterback. If Rodgers plays well, winning the division should be the “floor” of this team.
