The Green Bay Packers have been dealing with injuries all year and week 13 is no different. The good news is they are getting healthier but are not all the way back. Only one player is listed as out for Sunday. Unfortunately, that player is running back Aaron Jones.
Aaron Jones is OUT for Sunday night’s game against the Chiefs, Matt LaFleur says.
Eric Stokes is doubtful.
Questionable:
Jayden Reed
Jaire Alexander
Darnell Savage Jr.
De’Vondre Campbell
Dontayvion Wicks
Josiah Deguara
Rudy Ford
Robert Rochell— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) December 1, 2023
Green Bay Packers Aaron Jones Out For Week 13
It isn’t necessarily a surprise to see Jones still listed as out. The MCL sprain he suffered against the Chargers had him out for two to three weeks. The team is simply thankful that he didn’t tear anything in his knee making his return this season likely. A.J. Dillon will likely get the bulk of the reps on Sunday and he has looked much improved especially in the passing game. With Jones being out, others on the offense will have to step up but it is still unclear who exactly will be on the field on Sunday night.
Lots Of Players Are Questionable
Jayden Reed, Jaire Alexander, Darnell Savage Jr., De’Vondre Campbell, Dontayvion Wicks, Josiah Deguara, Rudy Ford, and Robert Rochell are all listed as questionable. It would not be great if all of them were not able to go but this week has provided some hope for the players listed. Alexander has practiced all week. Reed was back at practice on Friday and Matt LaFleur indicated that barring a setback, he would play. Wicks was in concussion protocol last week but hopefully is progressing well. While not everyone will play, the Packers should have enough firepower to make some noise.
If the Green Bay Packers can upset the Kansas City Chiefs, it would be huge for this team. Aaron Jones will have to cheer on his team from the sidelines and be the moral support which he is very good at.
