The Green Bay Packers lost to the Minnesota Vikings 24-10 on Sunday afternoon, and Aaron Jones’s brother called out Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur about Aaron’s usage.
He said on his Twitter page on Sunday:
Can someone ask coach Lafleur why he never gives Aaron the ball it’s getting criminal at this point !!! Is he not trying to win ??

That was a very interesting tweet by Aaron Jones’s brother, and he is 100 percent correct about that. Aaron Jones only rushed for 29 yards on seven carries and also caught four passes for 17 yards receiving. Why did head coach Matt LaFleur not give Aaron the ball more in this football game?
Does LaFleur not trust him at all moving forward? It is interesting that he did not get more carries against the Vikings’ defense, which has struggled at times this season. If Jones’s usage is a problem, and if AJ Dillon isn’t going to get the ball, then why doesn’t Green Bay trade for a running back before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday?
Aaron Jones Not Being Healthy for the Green Bay Packers This Season Has Not Been Good For Them But Needs the Ball When Available
Jones has struggled to be on the field this season due to injury, but if he is active on gameday, Aaron Jones needs more than seven carries and four receptions. He needs to touch the ball at least 20-25 times. Freddie Boston of Lombardiave.com said about his usage on Sunday:
“It’s a fair question. Giving Jones seven carries isn’t going to help this offense. If Jones isn’t healthy enough to play more snaps, he shouldn’t be active. Give him time to get to 100 percent. If he’s playing, he needs more oppotunities. The Packers’ poor run blocking is a major issue, but Jones is the only running back on the roster capable of making plays regardless. AJ Dillon is consistently met behind the line of scrimmage. It’s not his fault, but he lacks the explosiveness Jones has to pick up positive yardage even when the blocking isn’t great.”
The offensive line has also been a problem in pass protection as well this season for the Packers. Green Bay needs to find a way to stick to the ground game with Jones when healthy, or there will continue to be more problems with this football team as if there aren’t enough and Alvin Jones is right.
