The Green Bay basketball staff has received news that their star guard Noah Reynolds has re-entered the transfer portal, but may return.
The Phoenix star guard averaged 20 points per game this past season while shooting 51% from the field for the team. Reynolds committed to the Phoenix before the season after spending a short amount of time as a Wisconsin Badgers basketball commitment. Reynolds played extremely well this past season, but with the team struggling as a whole the guard is looking at all his options.
Green Bay Basketball Guard Noah Reynolds Announces Transfer Intentions After One Season
After a season with the Green Bay basketball team, guard Noah Reynolds has announced that he will re-enter the transfer portal. Reynolds has previously spent time with the Wyoming basketball program before entering the transfer portal as a Sophomore. The guard entered the portal due to issues with playing time and the quality of the team.
Reynolds committed to the Wisconsin basketball program for a short period of time before fellow guard AJ Storr announced his commitment to the program. Reynolds quickly rescinded his verbal commitment and never filed the appropriate paperwork with the Badgers. The guard later chose to join the Green Bay basketball program, and made his presence known this season.
Reynolds averaged 20 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 51.1% from the field. The guard also shot 34% from the three-point line for the Phoenix as he made strides in his deep-range game.
Despite Transfer Portal News, Reynolds Plans on Keeping Door Open for Return Next Season
While Reynolds has entered the transfer portal, the guard has left an avenue open for a return to the program for the upcoming season. Reynolds has one year of eligibility remaining, and claims to have entered the portal to see what his value is now after his career season. Likely, the guard will weigh out his value in the transfer portal before making a decision on whether or not he will return to the program.
Reynolds significantly improved this past season and also truly stepped up as a leader on the court, which should bring plenty of programs towards him.
Will Reynolds Return to the Green Bay Phoenix Next Season?
As amazing as it was to watch Reynolds play for the Green Bay basketball team, his days with the Phoenix are more than likely over. Reynolds had significant interest after entering the transfer portal following his first two seasons with Wyoming. Reynolds has outplayed himself, and now should receive plenty more interest as a transfer.
The guard has still kept the door open to stay with the Phoenix, but that is likely his backup plan in case he cannot find another landing spot.
