Brewers star pitcher Freddy Peralta recently appeared on an episode of Foul Territory. Their slogan is “Baseball the way it should be told and exclusive interviews with MLB studs”. In the episode the hosts recognize that historically Freddy Peralta had the nickname of “Fastball Freddy”. However, he has developed a more complimentary pitch arsenal since that nickname came around and as a result new nickname ideas were brainstormed.

Freddy Peralta hysterically laughs at new nickname suggestions, but ultimately approves of a new nickname.
A few suggestions made for Freddy Peralta’s new nickname included “Full Menu Freddy”, “Kitchen Sink Freddy”, and Freddy 2.0″. Given that his previous nickname, “Fastball Freddy” had an alliteration component, this was taken into consideration when choosing a nickname.
Ultimately Freddy Peralta approved of the nickname “Full Menu Freddy”. In regards to the nickname, he stated “Let’s see how it goes. For me, I like that, I can support that. For me, I get the point that there is no more Fastball Freddy.”
From the outside looking in, it’s hard to imagine fans steering away from the nickname “Fastball Freddy”. Only time will tell if “Full Menu Freddy” catches on or not.
Other topics discussed throughout the video include the World Baseball Classic and why Freddy Peralta chose not to participate. He also discusses signing a long term contract with the Brewers, Corbin Burnes as a teammate, and much more.
