The Green Bay Packers had several coaches hired by other teams this past off-season. Two of the most notable were Luke Getsy and Nathaniel Hackett. Getsy was hired by Chicago as the offensive coordinator. Hackett was hired as the head coach of the Denver Broncos. Approximately halfway through the 2022 NFL season and one is already on the hot seat. Multiple rumors suggest that Nathaniel Hackett could be out in Denver if they lose in London this week.
Could Nathaniel Hackett Lose His Job?
Per Dan Graziano of ESPN, there is “chatter around the league” that Nathaniel Hackett could be fired this week if the Broncos lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars this week in London. Denver is teetering on the brink of full collapse. Should Denver drop another game, George Paton (Broncos General Manager) could make major moves. One of those moves could be that head coach Nathaniel Hackett could be fired. Firing a first-year head coach after only eight games would see the organization plunge deeply into crisis mode. If the Broncos do in fact make this move it would be shocking, to say the least.
The Broncos (2-5) have lost four in a row. They are a shocking last in the league in scoring (14.3 points per game). They are also last in red zone offense, last in goal-to-go situations, and 30th on third down. This is certainly a far cry from how the Packers’ offense looked over the last two years with Hackett as their offensive coordinator. This is certainly a situation to monitor going forward as Green Bay could be enticed to bring Hackett back to the Packers in some capacity if the opportunity is there.

Such a.pipr.dream is a win only if it’s a package deal or double change. The defense has tanked. There’s got to be a change. Don Barry should not be calling the plays on defense. Resting on his laurels ain’t getting it for this season. Move on or move over.
Green Bay ought to be firing thier own head coach
