Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was traded from Green Bay to the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2022 offseason. Adams, once again, could be on the move from the Raiders before the October 31 NFL trade deadline. He is off to a 1-3 start with Las Vegas in 2023.
According to Christopher Kline of Fansided, there is a rumor that he could potentially be traded to the Baltimore Ravens. This could potentially help out quarterback Lamar Jackson. Baltimore is 3-1 so far this season, and they are currently leading the AFC North division.
A possible trade could feature a 2024 first-round pick and a 2024 third-round pick for Davante Adams for the Ravens and the Raiders. The former Green Bay Packers wide receiver would change the entire dynamic of the Ravens offense.
In four games so far this season with the Raiders, he has caught 33 passes for 397 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Adams is averaging 12.0 yards per catch.
Former Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Davante Adams Going From the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens Makes Sense
There are a few reasons why this trade would make sense for Las Vegas and Baltimore. The first reason is the Raiders are not ready to compete in the AFC, and the Ravens are trying to win it all. Davante Adams wants to play for a contender, and Baltimore is a contender this season in the AFC.
The second reason is that the Ravens have injuries at the wide receiver position to Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham Jr. They both did not play against the Cleveland Browns in their 28-3 Week 4 win. Baltimore’s leading wide receiver this season is rookie Zay Flowers, who has caught 24 passes for 244 yards receiving. He is averaging 10.2 yards per catch but has yet to score a touchdown this season.
Tight end Mark Andrews is the second-best receiver on the roster, catching 14 passes for 160 yards receiving and three touchdowns. He averages 11.4 yards per reception.
Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the league. He is right up there with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill for being the best wide receiver in the NFL.
The Baltimore Ravens have a ton of injuries on their roster every single season, but it would be a game-changer for them if they were able to land Davante Adams, the former Green Bay Packers receiver, because he can work with any quarterback. This would probably be the best-receiving target Lamar Jackson has ever had.
