Former Green Bay Packers legend quarterback Brett Favre was a very hot trend on Monday night football on Twitter when Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was playing a wreckless game against the Denver Broncos. Buffalo lost to Denver 24-22 as time expired on a 36-yard field goal by Will Lutz to drop to 5-5 on the season and they could be in danger of missing the playoffs this season with a very difficult schedule upcoming.
Allen completed 15-of-26 passes for 177 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the game on Monday night. Buffalo turned the ball over four times against Denver. He also rushed for 13 yards on four carries and a score. Josh Allen had the go-ahead 6-yard touchdown rushing with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.
On the year, Josh Allen has completed 70.3% of his passes for 2,600 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. His 11 interceptions lead the league currently and this is why he is drawing the Brett Favre comparisons.
Mike Greenberg of ESPN said on Get Up on Tuesday morning about Josh Allen being compared to Brett Favre:
“At some point, Josh Allen is giving away games. … He reminds me of Brett Favre. Brett Favre might have been the most talented quarterback of his generation, but he lost a lot of games with recklessness and mistakes.”
Favre is one of the most talented quarterbacks of all time and was always in the MVP conversation. In 302 career games, he completed 62.0% of his passes for 71,838 yards, 508 touchdowns, and threw 336 interceptions.
Fans on Twitter Think that Josh Allen is the modern-day of former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Brett Favre
There were fans on Twitter on Monday night who were making Josh Allen to Favre comparisons. Here is what some of them had to say about Allen’s wreckless performance:
Josh Allen is the modern era Brett Favre in every way imaginable.
You live by the sword and you die by the sword.

The stats on the last tweet throughout the first 64 games of Favre’s career and the first 65 games of Allen’s career are rather interesting. Josh Allen has also not been the same quarterback since Brian Daboll left as the Bills’ offensive coordinator and became the New York Giants head coach.
Ken Dorsey has not been great as the Bills offensive coordinator. Josh Allen has been wreckless despite being an MVP talent. He is on the same career trajectory at this point as former Packers legend quarterback Favre. They are going to have to take the good with the bad at this point.
