The Green Bay Packers revealed injury designations for their Week 2 contest against the Atlanta Falcons. Head coach Matt LaFleur said in his press conference that wide receiver Christian Watson and running back Aaron Jones are questionable to play.
The Packers had two other key names questionable for the contest. The Packers had to place linebacker Quay Walker in the concussion protocol this week after he sustained a head injury during his pick-six of Justin Fields in Week 1.
The Green Bay Packers list David Bakhtiari as questionable
According to the Week 2 injury report released Friday, Walker is questionable to play the Falcons. In a minor surprise for the Packers, left tackle David Bakhtiari joined the list of questionable designations in Week 2.
Player, Pos. | INJURY | WED | THURS | FRI | FRI STATUS |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
David Bakhtiari, T | NIR – Vet Rest/Knee | DNP | DNP | DNP | Questionable |
Romeo Doubs, WR | Hamstring | LP | LP | FP | — |
Rashan Gary, LB | Knee | LP | LP | LP | — |
Elgton Jenkins, G/T | Knee | LP | LP | FP | — |
Anthony Johnson Jr., S | Knee | FP | FP | FP | — |
Aaron Jones, RB | Hamstring | DNP | DNP | DNP | Questionable |
Quay Walker, LB | Concussion | DNP | LP | LP | Questionable |
Christian Watson, WR | Hamstring | DNP | DNP | LP | Questionable |
Daniel Whelan, P | Finger | (Not Listed) | FP | FP | — |
Bakhtiari is a minor surprise because he’s expected to be fluid at practice with his knee through the season. However, he had no injury designation in Week 1. It’s unclear if Bakhtiari suffered a setback with his knee after playing the Chicago Bears.
But if he doesn’t play against the Falcons, it will be clear something new is going on with his knee.
