There is nothing but excitement surrounding the Packers offense this season.
Yes, there is some uncertainty with a lot of new pieces in this group. Not to mention this group is very young, which means they will indeed have their growing pains.
However, you just have to be excited about the potential of the Packers offense. Also, being led by new starting quarterback Jordan Love brings even more excitement to the offense. Here is why the Packers offense has the potential to be the best offense in the NFL.
Could the Packers Offense Potentially Be the Best in the NFL?
The Packers Offense Has a Lot of Speed
One thing the Packers have on offense is a ton of speed. At wide receiver, each of their 40-times shows that they have some speed. Examples are Christian Watson (4.36), Romeo Doubs (4.47), Jayden Reed (4.37), Samori Toure (4.47), Dontayvion Wicks (4.52), Grant Debose (4.57), and Bo Melton (4.34). All these receivers have the ability to take the top off of defenses and stretch the middle of the field.
Also, new rookie tight ends Luke Musgraves and Tyler Kraft have some speed too. The Packers are looking to be much faster this coming season.
The Packers Offensive Lines Is One of the NFL’s Best
Despite injuries and different starting combinations, the Packers still were the second-best pass-blocking offensive line behind the Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers’ offensive line will have both David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins both back at full strength, giving them one of the best guard/tackle duos in the NFL.
As shown in the back half of the season last year, when the Packers’ offensive line is at full strength, they are one of the best units in the NFL. This will be the first time since 2020 that the Packers will have a fully healthy group by Week 1. The offensive line will definitely be a huge strength for the Packers offense this coming season.
The Mobility of Jordan Love Will Open Up the Packers Offense
New starting quarterback Jordan Love’s legs and mobility could add another wrinkle to the Packers offense. Head Coach Matt LaFleur loves to run RPOs in the offense, and with Aaron Rodgers, they were not really effective. Jordan Love has more mobility that could keep defenses on their heels.
Getting him on the move on play-action boots or quarterback keeps will put a lot of stress on a defense, especially knowing he can beat them with his arm as well. Now Love is not Lamar Jackson when it comes to using his legs, but it is good enough to be used as a weapon and open up the Packers offense even more this season.
Matt LaFleur Will Be Using a Lot of Motion in the Packers Offense
One of the major things that made the Packers the No. 1 scoring offense in 2020 was the use of motion and shifting. For some reason, in the past two years, the Packers offense did not use it as much, and it really hurt them. Rumors have been stated that Rodgers wanted less motion, and whether it is true or not, it was missed on offense the past two years.
Since Tyler Ervin, they have not found that player that could be used as that gadget player on offense. This year they seem to have those players in Samori Toure and Jayden Reed to fill that role on offense. With Jordan Love at quarterback, the Packers will run a lot of motion and get creative on offense this season.
The Running Game Will Be Explosive
Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are one of the best running back duos in the NFL. Last year the Packers had a winning record when they both got their touches. In the games the Packers lost last season, Jones and Dillion were not used enough. Even on third and short, the Packers did not want to use either. With Love in his first season as starting quarterback, it is important to take the pressure off of him using the run game.
