Packers’ top wide receiver draft pick from the 2022 NFL draft showed off his talent today. The first Packers mandatory mini camp did not disappoint for WR Christian Watson.
A few highlights from todays practice:
It’s on air, but Christian Watson just caught a 45-yard bomb from Aaron Rodgers. Drew a polite applause from the fans at minicamp.

Really nice practice from Christian Watson today. Showed off some speed and playmaking and hands were perfect. Love to see quick growth from young players.

Like Jaire taking reps against Davante in 2018, the rookie Christian Watson getting some live work against the now All Pro cornerback

Love responds the very next play with a 40-yard bomb to Christian Watson for a big gain.

Christian Watson even tested Jaire Alexander:

One practice certainly doesn’t mean anything in regards to how the season will go, however it’s nice to see Watson mesh well with Aaron Rodgers in their first practice together. We will hopefully see this connection grow over the next few months.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, Watson – the 34th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft – is +900 to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, giving him the fifth-best odds to win the award. He trails only Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (+500), Atlanta Falcons receiver Drake London (+700), Tennessee Titans receiver Treylon Burks (+70) and New York Jets running back Breece Hall (+750).
