Justin Fields did not play well for the Chicago Bears in their Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately for him and his team, the 24-year-old turned in another forgettable performance on Sunday as Chicago fell to 0-2 following their 27-17 loss at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
At this point, to say that Fields has had a slow start to the season would be an understatement.
Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields Has Been ‘Robotic’

There has been a lot of talk surrounding Fields’ early season performances, and now the Chicago signal-caller has spoken out to address all the criticism. He admits that he hasn’t been at his best:
“I wasn’t necessarily playing my game,” Fields said, via NFL insider Dov Kleiman. “I felt like I was kind of robotic. Not playing like myself.
“My goal this week is just to say F-it and just go out there and play football how I know how to play football.”
Fields is stating the obvious here. The fact that he had two interceptions and a pick-6 against Tampa Bay is a clear testament to this fact. Not too many people out there, if any, would dispute the notion that Fields just hasn’t looked right thus far.
Justin Fields Pins Blame on Coaching

Reporters demanded an explanation from Fields when he said that he was being “robotic.” It was at this point that the Bears quarterback dropped a shocking response:
“Coaching,” he said.
Fields obviously did not drop any names so you can’t really say he was talking to one specific person in particular. As far as I know, though, it’s still Matt Eberflus who’s sitting at the helm in Chicago, and there’s no denying that any and all criticism towards the team’s “coaching” has to be aimed at the head coach.
Fields also did not provide any context in his stunning revelation, which adds further mystery to the message he’s trying to deliver here.

What you can say, however, is that it’s probably going to be pretty awkward at practice on Thursday.
