The Green Bay Packers will be getting back one key starter for their match-up vs the Bears. However, with every action, there is an opposite but equal reaction, right? Maybe that doesn’t exactly apply here, but the sentiment is there. The Packers will also be without two regular starters when they take on the Bears today.
OT David Bakhtiari and WR Romeo Doubs OUT Vs the Bears
After much optimism during the week, WR Romeo Doubs ended up being ruled out prior to Sunday’s contest vs the Bears. Doubs practiced two days in a row this week but the Packers decided to give him two more weeks for this sprained ankle to recover (the Packers have a bye next week.
According to a statement by the Packers, Bakhtiari has already been ruled out against the Bears. Bakhtiari is out due to an appendectomy. There is hope he will be good to go next week, but this week is a no-go.
The Green Bay Packers Get Back All-Pro De’Vondre Campbell This Week
One short week ago, the Green Bay Packers’ defense failed miserably to contain Philadelphia Eagles’ rushing attack. Quarterback Jalen Hurts went off for 157 yards rushing yards. That included more than 100 in the first quarter alone. Last week they didn’t have ILB De’Vondre Campbell.
This week they will face the speedy Justin Fields at quarterback, but the Packers will have their All-Pro ILB back. Something they desperately needed last week. If Green Bay wants to stop the run, it all starts with Campbell. Full list below:
De’Vondre Campbell is active. Romeo Doubs is not. Savage, Bakhtiari, Ford, Barnes, Jean-Charles also inactive.
