The Seattle Seahawks selected Jarran Reed in the second round of the 2016 draft. After 5 seasons with Seattle, he spent 2021 with the Chiefs. Today, he becomes a member of the Green Bay Packers.
Can confirm #Packers are signing DL Jarran Reed to a 1-year deal. A veteran to strengthen the depth of their defensive line…and get Kenny Clark some help. @TomPelissero was first.

Via Peter Bukowski on Twitter:
“In 2018, Jarran Reed had 10.5 sacks for the Seahawks and 6.5 for them in 2020. Reed had 12 QB hits for the Chiefs last year, just 1 fewer than Kenny Clark. He can rush the passer.
Reed’s 12 QB hits last year are more than any Packers DT not named Kenny Clark since Mike Daniels had 14 in 2017. 12 QB hits would have tied for most on the 2018 Packers. It’s more than Kenny Clark had ever posted before 2021.”
Kenny Clark appears to be Happy:
Shout out Gute & nem 😂🤝 DL gone be crazy

Jarran Reed also seems grateful for the opportunity:
Let’s gooooo #GoPackGo so thankful for the opportunity to continue my career in Greenbay

Reed brings a presence on the defensive interior that we haven’t seen in years (outside of Clark). Green Bay will have a formidable duo upfront and Kenny Clark finally has some help. Green Bay’s defense is shaping up to be really stinking good in 2022.
