Salary Cap
The #Packers converted $2M of LT David Bakhtiari’s base salary & his $9.5M roster bonus into signing bonus, clearing $9.16M of cap space.
GB has now opened up over $23M of cap via restructures, but still sit a projected $28M over. https://t.co/gtr9qy6E9Y

Green Bay has already made massive move so far with the salary cap. Restructuring Aaron Rodgers’ deal will bring us that much closer to being under the cap. The salary cap issues are all essentially being pushed to future years to “keep the band together” as long as possible. However with the salary cap expected to explode in the next couple years there is hope that the band can stay together for a significant amount of time.
