Badgers volleyball is in the midst of a 15-set win streak, and where would they be without their all-around play? The Wisconsin Badgers have really put on a show on both sides of the net, and a Sophomore is leading the charge on defense. That Sophomore is middle blocker Carter Booth.

Carter Booth by the Numbers for Wisconsin Badgers Volleyball
The Badgers defeated No. 22 Ohio State and Michigan this week, sweeping both matches. Carter Booth was an integral part of it, as she was a defensive stalwart that led her to being named the Defensive Player of the Week in the Big Ten. Booth recorded 13 total blocks, along with two solo blocks that led Badgers volleyball this week.

Standing at six-foot-seven, middle blocker Booth demonstrated her blocking prowess, averaging 2.17 blocks per set. Her skill was most evident in the third set against the Buckeyes, where she notched four impressive blocks. On the season, she’s 2nd in the Big Ten and 8th nationally, with 1.53 blocks per set.
The versatile Booth can also handle the offensive side of the ball, hitting .426, which is good for 3rd in the Big Ten and 17th in the nation. She’s been a big part of the second-best opening to a season for Wisconsin Badgers volleyball since their 16-0 run.
Merritt Beason of No. 2 Nebraska took home Player of the Week honors, while two of her teammates, Bergen Reilly and Harper Murray, took home Co-Setter of the Week and Freshman of the Week. Mac Podraza of Penn State took home the other Co-Setter of the Week.
