The official Wisconsin Badgers twitter account released a 35 second hype video announcing season tickets are now on sale. The video features new coach Luke Fickell talking about how important the fans are for the programs success. This felt very similar to when Barry Alvarez made a statement about fans not wanting to miss what’s coming. The program is in a much different place now than it was then, but this may be the most excited the fan base has been since.
The proof has been in the pudding so far according to Wisconsin beat writer for The Athletic, Jesse Temple. According to Jesse, there were 700 new season tickets sold during the “early bird” sale that ended at the beginning of the month. That’s a jump of nearly 40% from the year prior.
To say there is excitement surrounding the new regime is under selling it. The hiring of Fickell was exciting enough, but the additions of Longo and Tressel have ramped it up even more. Not only is the excitement on social media, but it’s in season ticket sales as well. The fall can’t get here soon enough.
