After beginning my preview of the 2024 Wisconsin football schedule yesterday, today I switch over to the next three opponents. I have the Badgers currently with a 2-1 record with wins against Western Michigan and South Dakota and a loss to Alabama. The next three opponents are at USC, home against Purdue, and at Rutgers. Here is how I see these three games playing out. Wisconsin Football Schedule Preview: September 28 at USC After a bye week following the Alabama game, Wisconsin football travels to Southern California. The Badgers and Trojans have not played each other since the 2015 Holiday…

In just under six week, Wisconsin football will open their 2024 season. The Badgers will begin the year against Western Michigan on August 30 at Camp Randall Stadium. Like every year, the Badgers will play 12 games. However, with the expansion of the Big Ten, they will play Oregon and USC as conference games. This will be a four part series with three opponents. Here is part one. Wisconsin Football Schedule Preview: Week 1- Western Michigan The beginning of year two under head coach Luke Fickell begins under the lights. The first game against Western Michigan will be an 8…

The Green Bay Packers enter the 2024 season with a ton of hype and optimism. After a year where there were many question marks to begin the season, the Packers rode the ship, played well in December, and ultimately made the NFC Divisional Playoffs. They did fall to San Francisco on the road 24-21. Many of the contributing players from last season return this year. The Green Bay Packers are a popular pick to be one of the better teams in the NFC. Here is why I agree. The Green Bay Packers Have One of the Best Quarterbacks in the…

Wisconsin football stayed hot on the recruiting trail today. The Badgers received a commitment from four star offensive lineman Hardy Watts. Watts, one of the top players in Massachusetts, chose Wisconsin football over Clemson and Michigan. This leaves the 2025 recruiting class at 25 commits. Here is where the class sits right now. Wisconsin Football 2025 Recruiting Class Rankings According to 247 Sports, Wisconsin football ranks 15th in the country in the 2025 recruiting class. Their 25 commits are one of the larger classes. This ranking could potentially go down as some of the blue bloods only have half the…

After looking at the Wisconsin football x-factors on offense earlier this week, today I switch over to the defense. It was a slow start for this unit last year under first year defensive coordinator Mike Tressel. However, Luke Fickell attacked the transfer portal on this side, particularly the linebacker position. It should be a group that is better at rushing the quarterback. Here is who I think are potential x-factors on the defense this season. Wisconsin Football X-Factor: The Defensive Line The Wisconsin football defensive line struggled last season as a whole. For a defense that only sacked the quarterback…

The Wisconsin football offense is looking for a bit of a rebound from last season. Under first year offensive coordinator Phil Longo, the offense showed flashes of what it’s intended to do. However, for the most part, the offense looked clunky and out of sorts at times. In year 2, the offense should be cleaner and more organized. Here are four x-factors I think will make or break the Wisconsin football offense in 2024. Wisconsin Football X-Factor: Tyler Van Dyke Any successful offense starts with good quarterback play. Tyler Van Dyke is a seasoned veteran in his last year of…

The Green Bay Packers will begin training camp on July 22.  This season won’t have as many questions as it did last season as Jordan Love was fantastic the second half of the season. His production led the Packers to the NFC Divisional round. There won’t be too many position battles in training camp as the roster is young and is returning most of their production from last season. Ironically, the kicking position is one of the top competitions this year. Here is a look at the three kickers on the roster. Green Bay Packers Kicking Battle- Anders Carlson Anders Carlson…

After looking at players who could break out for Wisconsin football yesterday, today I look at just the young players on the roster. In particular, I will take a look at the freshman and sophomores (redshirts included). I really like the younger players on this Wisconsin football roster. While this season will include mainly upper-classmen, I think there are four young players who could immediately make an impact this season. Wisconsin Football Young Contributors: Tackett Curtis- Inside Linebacker If you followed the recruiting for Tackett Curtis, you know he was one of the most sought out linebackers in the 2023…

Wisconsin football is looking to rebound in 2024 after a 7-6 2023 season under first year head coach Luke Fickell. The season had its ups and downs with two new coordinators. Most Badger fans would agree that the hype and potential for Phil Longo and Mike Tressel is warranted. The Badgers were also active in the transfer portal, especially at the linebacker position. With that being said, I think there are players on both sides of the ball that could have breakout seasons in 2024. Potential Wisconsin Football Offensive Breakout Players Two players immediately stick out to me when I…

The 2024 Wisconsin football season is only a few months away! The Badgers open the season August 30 at home against Western Michigan. There will be plenty of new faces to see, but also plenty of returning players from last season. Year 2 under head coach Luke Fickell should be better. Fall camp will always have its fair share of position battles. I think there will be a few battles to watch over the course of August, Here are a few competitions we should keep our eye on. Wisconsin Football Position Battle: Safety There is no doubt Hunter Wohler will…
