Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Leaves Marquette for 2023 NBA Draft

After a fantastic season that saw Marquette men’s basketball reach as high as 6th in the AP and 4th in the coaches poll, a key piece is on the way out. Junior forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper declared for the 2023 NBA Draft Tuesday via Instagram. Olivier-Maxence Prosper Declares for the 2023 NBA Draft Olivier-Maxence Prosper is far from a lock to be an early pick, making this decision interesting. He made big strides from his sophomore to junior season statistically. However, he was still third on the team in scoring without being a dominant rebounder. The key part of the announcement…

Depending on who you ask, the Packers front office will have mixed reviews on how they’ve handled drafts since Brian Gutekunst took over as the Packers general manager in 2018. As much as I’d love to get into the weeds on the issue, that’s not the point of this article. The Packers, as of now, have 1 pick in each of the first 3 rounds. Those picks are #15, #45 and #78 with potential to add more via an Aaron Rodgers trade. I want to look at a handful of different strategies the Packers could take over the first 3…

There has been some exciting talent on campus with some great reports on their experience in madtown. Campus Visitors Daniel Freitag Daniel is an interesting prospect as he’s been offered by the football and basketball…

Badgers power forward Tyler Wahl announced that he would be back for another season as he uses his covid year. After the loss of Jordan Davis, there were question marks as to who else may transfer or if Wahl would return for another season. What this means for the roster The badgers get their starting power forward back for next year. Even though he struggled with consistency after returning from an ankle injury, anytime you can get an impact player back, you’ll take it. It’s that magical time of year again. That time of year when the azaleas are blooming and Augusta National Golf Club is in perfect condition. 88 players will be in Augusta, Georgia for the first major of the season. The crown jewel of the professional golf calendar is always electric, but there’s even more at stake this season. Who are the favorites? Augusta National is as tricky of a golf course as it is beautiful. There are birdies to be had but missing in the wrong spots can lead to big numbers. The cream tends to rise to the top…

The Badgers football program has been busy the last couple of weeks. Spring practice has kicked off and potential recruits have been on campus to take in the action. I want to go over who has been on campus and go into some detail about them as players. I’ll be focusing on players that haven’t been covered in the weekly offer recaps. Offensive Line Donovan Harbour – 4 Star Donovan is a local kid that has Wisconsin listed in his top 7 schools which also includes Penn State, Tennessee, Ohio State, Florida, Oregon and Michigan. He currently plays football about…

Jordan Davis

It was reported yesterday that Badgers basketball guard/forward Jordan Davis would be entering the transfer portal. In my off-season preview, I mentioned him as a player that could potentially be on the move but it’s always unfortunate to lose home grown talent. Considering what his brother Johnny did in Madison last year to become an NBA lottery pick, it was tough to see Jordan struggle at times. We don’t know exactly why Davis decided to transfer, but it could be a good sign for the program overall. Jordan Davis began this season as a starter before being moved to the…

Wisconsin Basketball Eying ‘25 In-State Center Kai Rogers

With Wisconsin losing 56-54 to North Texas on Tuesday night, the focus shifts to what is an important off-season. It’s rare for the Badgers to finish outside of the top 4 in the conference, not too mention below .500 in conference play and miss the NCAA tournament. It was a rough year overall with seemingly every game coming down to the wire and those games ending in disappointment more often than not down the home stretch. The good news is there won’t be much, if any, roster turnover heading into next season. Tyler Wahl is the only senior and he…

With spring practice underway, most of the focus has been getting prospects on campus. I’ll be going through the few offers we know of and touching on the players that have announced they’ll be on campus soon or have been recently. Offers Makai Saina- OL Class of 2024 Makai is a 6’4″, 290 offensive line prospect out of Texas. The 4 star recruit has been offered by virtually every big name school possible. His tape is impressive as he’s doing exactly what you’d expect of a highly touted high school recruit, but in a state full of next level players.…

Milwaukee Brewers Joey Wiemer

The Milwaukee Brewers have more or less locked in their roster for the start of the 2023 campaign. Mlb.com reporter Adam McCalvy reported Luke Voit had been signed to a 1 year contract with a club option for 2024. He also mentioned that once highly touted prospect Keston Hiura has been designated for assignment and infielder Abraham Toro was optioned to Triple A. The final move he reports is a big one as it tells a bigger story. Star outfield prospect Sal Frelick was reassigned to minor league camp. This means prospects Joey Wiemer (outfield) and Brice Turang (utility) have…
