    Badgers Football Weekly Offer Recap

Offers haven't been flying out but recruits have been on campus as spring practice gets underway.

With spring practice underway, most of the focus has been getting prospects on campus. I’ll be going through the few offers we know of and touching on the players that have announced they’ll be on campus soon or have been recently.

    Offers

Makai Saina- OL Class of 2024

Makai is a 6’4″, 290 offensive line prospect out of Texas. The 4 star recruit has been offered by virtually every big name school possible. His tape is impressive as he’s doing exactly what you’d expect of a highly touted high school recruit, but in a state full of next level players. He appears to move extremely well for a player of his size. He uses his hands well in pass protection and controls the defender in front of him well on run plays. It’s interesting he’s listed as an interior offensive lineman as  he plays tackle in high school. Commitment lean: There is no official lean yet but all of the big Texas schools have offered.

    Visits

Dillan Johnson- DL Class of 2024

Dillan is a 3 star defensive lineman out of Illinois and was on campus over the weekend. The 6’2″, 287 pound defensive standout also visited Michigan over the busy weekend. He doesn’t yet have an offer from Michigan which puts Wisconsin as his best current offer. Dillan has been a man amongst boys in high school using a combination of power and speed to consistently be in the backfield. He’s also a state champion in wresting which makes him an important target for Wisconsin. That crossover and worked multiple times in the past. According to on3, Wisconsin and Northwestern are the favorites.

Eli Owens- TE/LB Class of 2025

The Tennessee native was in Madison over the weekend as part of a bigger midwest trip that included Ohio State, Norte Dame and Michigan. Eli is listed as a 4 star athlete by 247 sports while standings at 6’2″ and weighing in at 225 pounds. Eli has a well rounded tape that shows great blocking, a diverse route tree, power with the ball and playmaking ability in the open field. The vast majority of highlights are on the offensive side of the ball but it’ll be interesting to see what he focuses on in his last two years of high school. According to on3, Tennessee and Michigan are the 2 favorites early on.

I’Marion Stewart- WR Class of 2024

I’Marion is a 6’1″, 180 athlete out of Illinois. He is listed as a 4 star and like many of the recruits on this list, was also in Michigan over the weekend. His film shows a player with great straight line speed who is wiggle in the open field. He has good hands and can find his way open with more than just speed. On3 has him heavily favoring Michigan so a late visit to Madison could be helpful.

Cam Richardson- DB Class of 2024

The New Jersey native will be in Madison this coming weekend. The 6’2″, 185 defensive back is unranked by 247 sports but his film shows an instinctual free safety. Even though he does make plays near the line of scrimmage in high school, he looks a lot more comfortable floating in the open field and reading the quarterback. He seems to have solid coverage skills and has the length and speed to make plays on the ball.

That wraps up this edition as we turn our focus to spring practice. Will likely be doing some type of recap of reports from the early practices and any note worthy news.
