For the past decade, the Green Bay Packers have had a solid offensive line, but this year is not the case. After losing RT Billy Turner, the o-line has had a gap at that position. Currently, Elgton Jenkins is trying to fit there, but it doesn’t seem like a good fit, and his replacement at RG is wholeheartedly struggling. Comparing pressure percentage from the last two seasons to this season, you can see an increase in pressure on Aaron Rodgers. Before, he had a pressure of 14.2% in 2020, and 22.3% in 2021. Coming into the 2022 NFL season, most fans thought the wide receiver core would be the issue. But that has not been the case so far. As of right now, the biggest issue lies with the defense and Joe Barry. The Green Bay Packers have one of the strongest defensive units in football, but the play calling is not playing to the strengths of the players. Zach Lowe of ESPN released a podcast on the 27th of September titled Friedell, Marks, and Lopez. The Packers face their first cross-conference opponent in week four when the New England Patriots come to Lambeau field. Packers faced one-half of the historic Brady and Belichick combo last week when they traveled to Tampa Bay. The Packers were able to beat Brady and the Bucs 14-12. The Patriots are 1-2 and may have just lost starting quarterback Mac Jones for some time. David Bakhtiari, Offensive Tackle for the Packers has returned and did not skip a beat coming back. It has been a long and arduous journey returning from a torn ACL in December of 2020. However, when asked in the locker room after the game how he was feeling, he said he was “pumped full of adrenaline.” Bakhtiari did not play a full share of snaps as he split snaps with backup Yosh Nijman, handling 34 of the Packers’ 60 total offensive snaps. ESPN has been slowly releasing their NBA player rankings over the last couple days. On Friday (9/23/2022) they released their top 5. Only a couple of days after CBS Sports released their own version.  The ESPN and CBS versions featured many disagreements on player rankings. One thing was exactly the same on both though. Joe Barry’s defense got out to a rough start Sunday night, and it looked like fans were in for a repeat of the Vikings game. However, Barry’s defense got it together and only allowed three points for the rest of the night. The Packers turned the Bears away on fourth and goal and basically ended the game. The 2022 class of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame were (in no particular order) Swin Cash, Larry Costello, Hugh Evans, Manu Ginobili, Tim Hardaway, Del Harris, Lou Hudson, Bob Huggins, George Karl, Radivoje Korac, Theresa Shank-Grentz, Marianne Stanley and Lindsay Whalen.
