Joe Barry’s defense got out to a rough start Sunday night, and it looked like fans were in for a repeat of the Vikings game. However, Barry’s defense got it together and only allowed three points for the rest of the night. The Packers turned the Bears away on fourth and goal and basically ended the game. That didn’t stop Jaire Alexander from delivering the final dagger. Take a look at Joe Barry’s reaction to his number one corner getting the interception.

The video, courtesy of Scott Grodsky, shows Joe Barry letting it all out after the first interception of the year. After a tough week one outing Joe Barry took plenty of criticism. His defense showed up on Sunday Night Football and will have a tough task next week against Tom Brady and company.
What Changed This Week for Barry
The defense still has work to do, but the secondary and pass rush showed what they’re capable of. The run defense got gashed by Chicago but kept the Bears out of the endzone for three and a half quarters. The pass rush sacked Justin Fields three times and allowed just 48 net passing yards. Last week Kirk Cousins was able to pick the Packers apart in zone coverage because the pressure on him was not consistent. This week, the pass rush kept Fields in check and allowed the secondary to go to work.
