As if the Packers didn’t have enough injuries already, here’s another one to add to the list. The dreaded turf of Ford Field did more harm to the players than the loss looks on the stat sheet. The Packers are currently in second place in the NFC North with a 3-6 record. Losing another key player on defense is going to hurt.
CB Eric Stokes Likely Out For 2022 Season
The Packers put linebacker Rashan Gary on the season-ending injured reserve on Wednesday. Now, two days later, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters that cornerback Eric Stokes is likely out for the season with the ankle and knee injury he suffered in Week nine against the Detroit Lions. He was one of three players to be carted off the field in the ugly loss.

To date, Eric Stokes has had an up-and-down season, but the Packers’ secondary is still a top-five defense when it comes to stopping the aerial attack. If this is the end for Stokes, he’ll finish his 2022 season with 21 solo tackles and five assisted tackles. With this injury, it should open up more snaps for fourth-year cornerback Keisean Nixon.
