Every year, the NFL sends out a poll of who the players think the top 100 players in the league are. They turn this vote into a very enjoyable show call NFL Top 100 which is shown on NFL Network. It is a great honor for players to be placed on this list because it’s from their peers who play the game and experience it like they do, instead of people who only watch it and think they know what they’re talking about. The Packers already have one player on the list, mentioned by Matthew Brown in his article. Where will Aaron Rodgers place this year?
Where did Aaron Rodgers place last year?

Last year, in the NFL Top 100, Rodgers placed number three on the list. The only two to be placed ahead of him were Aaron Donald and Patrick Mahomes, the latter winning the number one spot. That’s a great spot to be in. There’s no shame in being lower than Patrick Mahomes, who had just won a Super Bowl and was on his way to his second straight appearance, and Aaron Donald, who is constantly racking up sacks and single handedly destroying opposing offenses. Heck, Rodgers was ranked higher than Tom Brady, who did win the Super Bowl that year. That one bad thing about being number three on the list: It’s going to be difficult to reach that number again let alone surpass it. Especially when you look at the kind of year Rodgers had.
2020 season compared to 2021 season

In both of the last two season, Aaron Rodgers has won MVP. When you compare them though, there is actually a drop off in the stats. In 2020, Rodgers passed for 4,299 yards, 48 TDs, 5 INTs, 70.7% completion, and a 121.5 passer rating. When you read that stat line, it’s no wonder he won MVP that year. That is a 9:1 TD to INT ration which is outstanding. In 2021, Rodgers passed for 4,115 yards, 37 TDs, 4 INTs, 68.9% completion, and a 111.9 passer rating. When you compare the numbers, they’re basically the same with the three main differences being the touchdowns, completion percentage, and passer rating, which is probably due to the first two being lower. After comparing the numbers, it does seem like Rodgers has a good chance to make number three again in this years NFL Top 100.
What place will he get this year?

After looking at the numbers, it’s hard to know where he will place on the list. Since it is voted on by the players, there’s no telling where they feel he will be. We know that other players have a great respect for Rodgers. According to CBS Sports writer Cody Benjamin in his article, former teammate Devante Adams still thinks he is a great QB. I personally think there will be two players ahead of Rodgers again, putting him in the same spot at three. The two players will be TJ Watt and Cooper Kupp. Kupp, who got the triple crown in receiving, will be number one. Watt, who tied the record for sacks in a season, will get number two. That leaves Rodgers at number three once again. If that’s the case, that’s a great spot for Rodgers to be in.
