Aaron Rodgers has to calm his nerves this time of year
Aaron Rodgers has to deal with heavy linemen coming at him a minimum of 17 games a year. He has the pressure of living up to being a top quarterback each and every season. Rodgers is constantly being compared to Tom Brady and other all-time great players at the quarterback position. You’d think that would cause Rodgers to have a few butterflies each time he takes the gridiron.
On Tuesday, Rodgers was on his weekly guest spot for The Pat McAfee show. He was talking about his Thanksgiving plans for this year. Rodgers said he typically hosts the Thanksgiving meal, but teammate kicker Mason Crosby has the hosting honors this year. Rodgers said jokingly that he intended to judge Crosby’s presentation, food choices, and the turkey. He said the turkey adds a lot of pressure on the host.
“I mean, the first and most important thing and most fun thing to judge is the turkey, right,” Rodgers asked the hosts. “Because literally, as anyone knows who’s cooked turkey, it is the most nerve-racking thing of all time to get that thing right.”

Rodgers will have another nerve-racking thing coming up a few days after Thanksgiving. The back-to-back NFL MVP will take the 4-7 Packers to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. The Packers must win that game to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
