The 2021 NFL season for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers has been… entertaining, to say the least.
Rodgers has been the main focus of 99% of the off-the-field chatter, starting with the offseason where no one (except for Adam Schefter, of course) knew what Aaron Rodgers was going to do. Host Jeopardy? Play for the Broncos? Retire? It was all on the table. Not to mention his toe became a hot debate on Twitter.
Ultimately, Rodgers did come back to the Packers. He’s had one of the best seasons of his career and looks to be a lock to win back-to-back MVP awards.
With the Packers on a bye this week heading into the playoffs, let’s take a look at a look at Aaron Rodgers’ records from the 2021 season.
Most passing TDs in Packers history
This broken record could not have been set up more perfectly. On a beautiful Christmas Day at Lambeau Field, Aaron Rodgers threw his 443rd touchdown in a Packers uniform to Allen Lazard.
He broke Brett Favre’s record, and it just reminds Packers fans how lucky we have been in the last 30 years.
Here is the pass to Lazard for the record and his first TD ever:
Most 2+ pass TD and 0 INT games in NFL history
Aaron Rodgers has always been one of the most efficient QBs in NFL history, and this stat further proves it. His 13 games this season with multiple TDs and no picks breaks the previous record of 11. Another crazy stat? That previous record was held by Rodgers from 2020 & 2014.
500+ passes with 4 or fewer INTs in a single season
This is another one of those stats that shows how great Aaron Rodgers is. Turnovers are one of the biggest killers in the NFL, and having a quarterback that rarely throws them has won the Packers a lot of games. Aaron Rodgers is the only person who has ever done this, and he has done it three times (2018 & 2019).
Consecutive seasons with 450 pass attempts and 5 or fewer INTs
Aaron Rodgers has accomplished this in four straight seasons. No other quarterback has done it more than once in their entire careers.
Most seasons with the lowest interception rate in the NFL
This season was Rodgers’ sixth season doing this, and he passed Sammy Baugh for most all-time.
Highest TD-INT ratio in a season
Aaron Rodgers piled onto his own record with this one. He previously had the top five seasons with this stat in NFL history. He now has the top six.
35 passing TD and 5 or fewer INTs
Aaron Rodgers has done this three times in his career. The craziest part of this stat is that every other QB in NFL history has only done this once combined.
Lead the league in TD% & INT%
Aaron Rodgers is the first QB in NFL history to lead the league in both of those in multiple seasons. Eight QBs have done it once.
Most regular seasons with a passer rating over 110.0
This is another record where Rodgers extended his own. This past season was the fifth time he has done this, and no other QB has done it more than three times.
Most wins against the Chicago Bears as a Packers QB
In the December game against the Bears, Aaron Rodgers became the winningest QB against them with 23, breaking Brett Favre’s record. He also now holds the most touchdown passes against them with 61. Yes, Rodgers does own them.
Most Touchdown Passes Against the Vikings as a Packers QB
Aaron Rodgers and Allen Lazard broke another record together, when Rodgers threw his 55th touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings, putting him ahead of Brett Favre.
4,000+ passing yards in a season
Aaron Rodgers has now done this in 10 different seasons. He is only the sixth QB in NFL history to accomplish this.
Top 5 in passing TDs in NFL history
During the season, Rodgers passed Philip Rivers, Dan Marino, and Ben Roethlisberger. He is now in the top five for most touchdowns in NFL history at 449.
Top 10 in passing yards in NFL history
On a 50-yard pass to Davante Adams this season, Rodgers passed John Elway to become 10th all time in passing yards.
This season has certainly been one for the record books. Hopefully, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers can turn all their regular season success into a Super Bowl run… and ultimately win a championship!
