Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers went their separate ways this off-season. After over one month of negotiating, the Jets and Packers finally agreed to the trade just days before the 2023 NFL Draft. Aaron Rodgers has been busy so far in his short time with the Jets, but it was comments he made shortly after the trade went down that had fans thrashing him on social media.
Aaron Rodgers Gets Ripped On Social Media By San Francisco 49ers Fans

According to Deepesh Nair of The Sports Rush:
Over the years, the Cali native has evolved into one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Even though he has only won one Super Bowl ring, the signal-caller has proven himself as a great asset for the Packers, winning multiple MVP titles. While his playoff record against the 49ers still remains the worst performance in the history of the league, the veteran has no apprehensions.
In an appearance on the Pardon My Take Podcast, the host once asked Aaron to describe the actual meaning of “regret” he mentioned a couple of years ago.
On this day in 2005, Aaron Rodgers after getting passed up by the 49ers at No. 1, and falling to Green Bay at No. 24, makes a bold prediction.

Without a second thought, he reverted to a question asking all his critics to count the number of championship titles they (the 49ers) won in the last 18 years. At least he has one, but the Niners have none! Interestingly, they were on the verge of winning back in 2013, but an unprecedented power outage quashed all their aspirations. Rodgers claimed that Kyle Shanahan had one of the greatest defenses in the last 30 years but couldn’t leverage this advantage into a championship win.
These comments took no time to catch the attention of fans. Netizens blamed A-Rod for making unnecessarily snobbish remarks and compared him with Brady who refrains from saying anything like this, despite having as many as 7 titles in his kitty.
So Rodgers trolls 49ers for not taking him in the draft…and now he is getting burned😆https://t.co/Lj8IY2iXyB pic.twitter.com/SMN7oNw1yS

Aaron Rodgers now has the chance to do what Tom Brady did, win a Super Bowl with two different teams in two different conferences. The New York Jets have put pieces around Aaron Rodgers that should make for an interesting 2023 season. However, the animosity between Aaron Rodgers and the San Francisco 49ers fans seems to be alive to this day.

The power outage was the reason SF lost the Super Bowl?
Down by 22 when it happened.. probably the only reason they made it a respectable game.
