The Wisconsin Badgers recruiting train is plowing ahead. Luke Fickell and his staff are hard at work to secure recruits from the 2024 and 2025 classes. Another offer was extended to a massive interior lineman, Chauncey Gooden.

Wisconsin Badgers Recruiting: Chauncey Gooden
Gooden is a 6-foot-4 320-pound offensive lineman out of Nashville Tennessee and is a part of the class of 2025. His four-star ranking puts him as the number three recruit in the state of Tennessee. Because of this, he has no shortage of offers. Currently, he has 40 Division I offers including eight Big Ten schools. Every school can use players in the trenches and Gooden looks to be a huge addition to any offensive line.

Badgers Have A History Of Good Offensive Lines
The advantage of the Badgers is twofold. One, Luke Fickell and offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr. bring a high-profile nature to Wisconsin. Top recruits are starting to give Madison is real look. With recruiting, once a couple of high-level recruits start committing, the others take notice. Second, Wisconsin has always had a history of good offensive linemen. Many NFL teams have a Badger on the line with one, Joe Thomas, recently being announced for the Hall of Fame. For any player looking to make it in the NFL, Wisconsin is the place to be.
Currently, no recruits have committed for the 2025 cycle. This isn’t hugely concerning as 2025 is a ways away. However, the fact that the offers are out there is a good thing.
