The Milwaukee Bucks got a massive boost on the Damian Lillard front ahead of their win-or-go-home Game 6 showdown against the Indiana Pacers. After being forced to sit out Game 5 due to an Achilles injury, Dame has now been cleared to play for Thursday’s contest as he looks to help Milwaukee keep their season alive.
Unfortunately for the Bucks, they have not been treated with the same type of news when it comes to cornerstone superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo Ruled OUT for Game 6
While Lillard will be taking the court for Game 6, Giannis will be watching from the bench yet again. This is after the Bucks officially ruled out the former two-time MVP for Thursday’s matchup due to the same calf injury that has kept him out of the entire series thus far:
And the 5:30 pm injury report makes it official.
Damian Lillard is available for Game 6.

This does not come as a complete shock considering how Giannis has been nursing a problematic calf injury — one that is serious enough to force him to sit out what could be his team’s final game of the season.
The Bucks have managed to survive without Antetokounmpo in the mix, and they now have no other choice but to soldier on in Game 6. Much of the offensive load will be shouldered by a banged-up Lillard and a surging Khris Middleton, who himself has been playing through an injury as well.
Either way, Milwaukee will need to leave everything out there on Thursday night.
