Nick Broeker: Offensive Tackle, Ole Miss: NFL Draft Scouting Profile and Projected Draft Position

Broeker has played four years at Ole Miss and in that time, he has only given up a total of 7 sacks. In his senior year, he gave up no sacks.
Nick Broeker Scouting Report
Per NFL Draft Buzz, Broeker has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
- Awareness is above-average for his limited experience. Sells trap block and can turn to seal. Fluid getting to and adjust at the second level
- Good natural athleticism, knee bend and fluid lateral movement to mirror college defensive ends
- At his best mauling in the run game, playing with a nasty demeanor and consistently keeping it going through the whistle
Weaknesses
- Can struggle to stay engaged, especially on the second level. His hand placement can be sloppy, costing him power
- As a pass protector, Broeker gets caught reaching and lunging when matched up against quickness

Would Nick Broeker Fit on the Packers?
I am never against the Packers drafting an offensive lineman. The Packers have a history of developing players into All-Pros on the line. Tackle is not an immediate need but very soon down the road, the Packers will have to address it. I think Broeker is fine but there is one issue that I have with him.
Check Out Another Prospect That Could Fit For the Packers
He is weak against speed edges. The number of speed edge players is skyrocketing around the league. I worry that Broeker is just going to be overmatched in the NFL unless he improves dramatically. I think the Packers can find better tackle talent in the mid-rounds. However, I don’t think Broeker would be a disaster of a pick, just not my personal preferred one.
