Matt LaFleur is concerned about the health of one player for Sunday
Matt LaFleur seems worried about the status of one Green Bay Packers player before their Week 18 game. The Packers want to have as many healthy options as possible against the red-hot Detroit Lions. The Lions, who beat the Packers earlier in the season, stand in the Packers’ way of reaching the playoffs for the fourth-straight season.
If the Packers can beat the Lions Sunday night, they’ll clinch a Wild Card spot. The Lions, who are 8-4 since the Packers traveled to Detroit in early November, can reach the postseason with a win over the Packers and a Seattle Seahawks defeat on Sunday. LaFleur mentioned the status of a tight end he’s worried about being ready for the must-win game.
According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Matt LaFleur said in his Friday press conference that he was worried about Josiah Deguara’s status against the Lions. Deguara missed Thursday’s practice with a calf injury. It was a new injury, as he was not listed on Wednesday’s injury report.
LaFleur says there’s “definitely some concern” for Josiah Deguara’s status for Sunday night. He missed practice yesterday with a calf injury after not being on the Wednesday injury report.

Deguara has 13 receptions for 114 yards this season. However, his role is more than a pass catcher for the Packers. He’s heavily involved in special teams. Deguara has 195 special teams snaps for the Packers. That’s not someone you want to miss in a pivotal Week 18 game.
