The Green Bay Packers are dealing with injuries at nearly every position on offense. From wide receiver to the offensive line to even quarterback. Christian Watson is a no-go vs the Commanders today. Sammy Watkins was elevated back to the 53-man roster. However, the biggest news of the day was that star LT David Bakhtiari will be inactive vs the Commanders. This is a huge blow to the offense.
David Bakhtiari To Miss Commanders Game
David Bakhtiari seemed to have turned a corner over the last couple of weeks. The All-Pro offensive tackle had made appearances during the Green Bay Packers last four games. He played 69 snaps in Week 6 against the New York Jets. More than that, he played at a high level. According to Pro Football Focus, Bakhtiari was rated 85.2 overall for his blocking against the Jets. Bakhtiari has been back and forth with rehab since his injury in 2020. It looks like the saga isn’t over yet. According to Rob Demovsky, Bakhtiari warmed up but will not participate:

Bakhtiari started the last four games and participated in all six practices over the last two weeks. On Friday’s injury report, he was not given an injury designation, signaling that he was set to run his starts streak to five. Instead, on Saturday, he was added to report as questionable. The day-to-day state of Bakhtiari’s knee has been the elephant in the room. Why hadn’t the Packers given Nijman, who had started or played extensively at left tackle in four of the six games, a shot to start at right tackle? Because of the ever-present uncertainty over Bakhtiari’s knee. Will Bakhtiari be able to play on any given Sunday? And even if he does, will he be able to get through the entire game? This last minute change to the offensive line could prove to be a big factor in today’s game.
