Packers-Bears week always brings a lot of smack talk. It has been that way for over 100 years. The NFL’s oldest rivalry is set for its 205th match-up on Sunday. Green Bay leads the all-time series 103-95-6. The Bears held a 24 game advantage at one point in time… That is before Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers came to town. The Packers have won the last six match-ups vs Chicago. They have also won 11 of the last 13 games against the Bears. The Packers have plenty of ammo to trash talk, and that’s exactly what Jaire Alexander did today.
Jaire Alexander Throws Shade At Bears Fans:
#Packers CB Jaire Alexander says he enjoys playing against Bears because it’s a “good game” when they meet. Of course, lopsided nature of this rivalry doesn’t hurt.
“It’s fun. It’s exciting,” Alexander says. “I always say, ‘Things could be a lot worse. I could be a Bears fan.’”

“Things could be a lot worse. I could be a Bears fan.”
That quote is brutal, yet hilarious. The Green Bay Packers’ defense is coming off a season where they ranked in the top ten WITHOUT their best player, cornerback Jaire Alexander for 13 games. Even with a rough start in week one, the expectations for this defense is sky high. Jaire Alexander is coming off a shoulder injury a year ago but also a contract extension: four years, $84 million.
Jaire Alexander Spoke About His Return
“Sometimes perspective is needed”, Alexander said in an interview earlier this week. But there is no doubt the competitive fire still runs through his veins. A loaded defense with fellow cornerbacks Eric Stokes and Rasul Douglas as well as linebacker D’Vondre Campbell will only be boosted. This type of energy and trash talk is exactly what many think the Packers’ defense was missing last year. With week one behind them, Jaire Alexander and company look to bounce back against the Bears in a big way.
