The Green Bay Packers have a plethora of talent spread around the field. Despite losing Davante Adams, the NFL’s best wide receiver, this offseason, there is no shortage of greatness on both offense and defense. Pro Football Focus (PFF) went through the rosters of each NFL team and listed their top three players. The players they ranked as the Packers top three may not be all that surprising.
#1. Aaron Rodgers
There is no doubt: Aaron Rodgers is the best and most valuable player that the Green Bay Packers have. There is a reason he has won four MVP Awards, including the last two. Last year, Rodgers threw for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns compared to just four interceptions. He had a quarterback rating of 111.9 and a QBR of 69.1. Rodgers led the NFL in both stats.
Thanks to the new three-year $150 million contract he signed, Aaron Rodgers will continue to be the most important Packers player for the foreseeable future. He is surely to be facing a bit of an adjustment period this season with numerous new wide receivers. That said, he is the four-time MVP for a reason. Let us not forget, he won a Super Bowl without Davante Adams.

#2. David Bakhtiari
As valuable as Aaron Rodgers is to the Green Bay Packers, it can be argued that David Bakhtiari is nearly just as valuable. Bakhtiari missed most of last season due to his recovery from a torn ACL. The Packers offensive line saw more than its fair share of injuries during the season as Elgton Jenkins and Josh Myers each missed significant time.
Prior to his injury, David Bakhtiari was an All-Pro left tackle and regarded as the best in the NFL. As he returns from injury, he will look to return to that form on an offensive line that will be without Elgton Jenkins for at least half of the season. Of course, as the starting left tackle, David Bakhtiari’s job is all-that-more important as he protects Aaron Rodgers’ blindside. Hopefully he lives up to PFF’s high ranking. If he does, that will spell great things for the Packers offense.

#3. Jaire Alexander
It is great to see Jaire Alexander receiver such high recognition following his contract extension. One would hope that the highest paid cornerback in the NFL would be a top-three player on what team he was on. Despite missing much of last season after a shoulder injury, Alexander will return in 2022 looking to get back to his All-Pro form.
Even though Jaire Alexander has not racked up the large interception numbers that other cornerbacks do, he has a reputation as a complete lockdown corner. The reason he does not intercept many passes is because quarterbacks try to avoid throwing his way. In 2020, his last full season before getting hurt, quarterbacks had a 67.4 passer rating when targeting him.
Along with Rasul Douglas and Eric Stokes, Jaire Alexander is part of the best cornerback trio in the NFL. With all the other great additions on defense, Alexander and the Packers may have the best defense Green Bay has seen in years. Some networks are even projecting them to rank in the NFL’s top ten.

PFF also considered Rashan Gary, Adrian Amos, Kenny Clark, and Elgton Jenkins as one of the Packers top three players.
