The Milwaukee Brewers made a few roster moves prior to Saturday’s game against the Detroit Tigers. Being transferred to the 60-day injured list is DL Hall, James Meeker was optioned to Triple-A, and former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Elieser Hernández was signed to a one year contract.

DL Hall has been transferred to the 60-day IL but plans on pitching through his knee injury.
The Milwaukee Brewers placed DL Hall on the injured list on April 21 following a left knee sprain. He was on rehab assignment and then appeared to tweak his knee again. Hall has since received multiple opinions on how to manage his knee injury in which he appears to be continuing with a rehab and pitch through it type of approach with the possibility of off-season surgery. His other option was to undergo a PRP injection but the recovery after that would have kept him out until September.
Hall wants to pitch through it, and said Dr. El Attrache believes the damage is partial enough that he can try to do so, and then reevaluate with an injection or surgery this off-season.

James Meeker was optioned to Triple-A after making his MLB debut a day prior.
Journeymen pitcher James Meeker made his Brewers and MLB debut on Friday night during the ninth inning of a 10-0 blowout. He gave up a hit and a walk but managed to get a game ending double play to preserve Milwaukee’s shutout over the Detroit Tigers. Prior to his big league promotion he had a 3.48 ERA across 14 relief appearances with the Nashville Sounds.
Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Elieser Hernández has signed a one year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers.
29 year old right-handed pitcher Elieser Hernández is the newest member of the Brewers pitching staff. He most recently was with the Los Angeles Dodgers where he tossed nine innings this year, but after being demoted to the minor leagues he elected free agency. Hernandez has a career 5.15 ERA in the big leagues with the bulk of his outings coming with the Miami Marlins from 2018-2022.
It will be interesting to see how long Hernandez remains in the Brewers organization. He has more than five years of MLB service time and can refuse a minor league assignment. Additionally Milwaukee is expected to call up Carlos Rodriguez on Tuesday for his MLB debut.
