There wasn’t a lot of positives to take away from the Green Bay Packers 17-13 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. While the Packers’ defense overall played well, the offense couldn’t get a score when they needed to.
Part of the defense’s success has been due to their safety play. Jimmy Garoppolo finished with 208 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Addtionally the defense allowed just 17 points, three of which came off a Jordan Love interception deep in Packers territory. Darnell Savage left the game due due to injury and did not return. Today, the Packers gave a significant update on Savage’s injury.
The Green Bay Packers Give Positive Update On Darnell Savage’s Injury Folllowing Loss To The Las Vegas Raiders
Per ESPN’s Rob Demovsky:
Sounds like Quay Walker (knee) and Darnell Savage (calf) avoided serious injuries last night in Las Vegas. Packers coach Matt LaFleur said they could potentially be back for the Denver game after this week’s bye.
Savaged recorded four tackles before he left Monday’s contest vs. the Raiders.
The Packers’ defense ranks 10th in the league in terms of passing yards allowed per game. The Packers’ secondary, overall, has played well. Savage has been a big reason for that, getting him back for their matchup vs. the Broncos would be huge.
