The Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots will kick off their preseason game shortly. While the majority of the Packers’ starters are expected to play, there are some notable names missing. Among these are left tackle David Bakhtiari and star cornerback Jaire Alexander.
Bakhtiari, of course, will probably not see any playing time in the preseason as the team hopes to keep him healthy and fresh for the regular season. This is not an unusual move. Aaron Rodgers and numerous other veterans received similar treatment by the team over the last few years.
David Bakhtiari, Jaire Alexander Highlight List of Players not Playing for the Green Bay Packers
According to Lily Zhao on X,
#Packers Jordan Love and the starters are a go tonight vs the Patriots.

Eric Stokes, of course, is still trying to rehab his foot that he injured severely last season. Rashan Gary, while no longer on the PUP list, is still being brought along slowly to prepare for the regular season. De’Vondre Campbell suffered an ankle injury, but is expected to be ready for Week One.
Luke Tenuta and Tyler Davis were injured in the last preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Bo Melton is nursing a hamstring injury.
It is interesting that both Tyler Goodson and Lew Nichols are being held out, though not surprising due to injuries. What is interesting, though, is that the battle for third running back is going to look pretty close after the game is over.
