After going through the first half of the Wisconsin Football schedule, I currently have the Badgers at 6-0. There are a few tougher games in the first half of the schedule. However, the second half gets even tougher.
At this point of the schedule, the Badgers are in the middle of their toughest stretch. Here is how I see Wisconsin Football through the next three games.
October 21- Wisconsin Football at Illinois
The Fighting Illini have had the Badger’s number recently. Last year, Illinois blew out Wisconsin at home. This ended up being the final game Paul Chryst coached.
Illinois does have to replace running back Chase Brown, who was a majority of their offense a season ago. Star corner Devon Witherspoon was drafted in the top 10 of the NFL Draft as well.
I do think Wisconsin is in trouble here. Why? Because I think they come off a thriller against Iowa and the following week they will face Ohio State at home. Players and coaches say they try not to look ahead and downplay an opponent.
There’s no doubt Wisconsin is better than Illinois. However, I think this is a trap road game they fall into.
Wisconsin loses. Record: 6-1
October 28- Wisconsin Football vs Ohio State
This is the game circled on everyone’s calendar. 2017 was the last time Ohio State visited Camp Randall. This will likely be a night game and it will be on NBC. It will be incredible to see this game as the prime time game in college football.
After getting blown out a season ago, I think this Wisconsin Football team is built and equipped to pull off the upset. However, it seems like you have to play a perfect game to beat the Buckeyes. They don’t beat themselves and they always seem to come up with a big play late in games.
The stud receiver duo of Marvin Harrison Jr and Emeka Egbuka is too much of a problem for the Wisconsin corners. Both are projected top 10 picks in the 2024 Draft. I think they’re the difference in this one.
Wisconsin loses. Record: 6-2
November 4- Wisconsin Football at Indiana
Despite being in a mini losing skid, this is the perfect game for Wisconsin to get back on track. Indiana is coming off a down year and I don’t think it will get much better.
The Hoosiers have a quarterback battle still ongoing. This feels as if they are not sold on any quarterback. With a ton of production to replace, I think the Badgers roll and get back on track.
Wisconsin wins. Record: 7-2
