After taking the victory in Game 1 on Sunday with a score of 109-94, the Milwaukee Bucks will look to keep their momentum against the Indiana Pacers tonight at Fiserv Forum. Injury designations for the Bucks include their star in Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed Saturday’s game with a calf injury and is listed as doubtful for Game 2. However, he is expected to make a return during this playoff series. There are no current injuries listed for the Pacers.
Indiana Pacers vs Milwaukee Bucks Spread Set at 1.5, Over/Under 221.5 Points
Tonight’s spread is set at 1.5 points in favor of Milwaukee. While the Bucks are dominant at home with a record of 31-11 on the season, winning back-to-back games without their leader in Antetokounmpo will be a tough task. Indiana is the highest scoring team in the NBA and beat Milwaukee in Fiserv Forum twice during the regular season. However, Milwaukee proved they can slow down their pace and will need to do so once again to cover tonight’s spread.
The total points line is set at 221.5. There were only 205 total points scored in Game 1 of this series, but both teams are at the top of the league in terms of points per game. Both teams are averaging well over 120 points a game and all 5 games went over this line during the regular season. The playoffs are a different game than the regular season and nerves likely came in play on Sunday. There is value in the total points line going over 221.5 in tonight’s matchup.
Damian Lillard OVER 6.5 Assists (-115 on FanDuel Sportsbook)
Damian Lillard was on fire Sunday night dropping 35 points in the first half. However, he was double teamed for most of the second half and did not add to his 35-point night. He only ended with 3 assists in Game 1, but I expect him to become more of a facilitator in tonight’s game. Lillard is averaging 6.7 assists at home this season and is favored to hit this line in tonight’s game assuming Indiana keeps the same pressure on him.
Pascal Siakam OVER 23.5 Points (-130 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
Pascal Siakam, who ended with almost 40 percent of the Pacers points on Sunday has value to go over his points line in tonight’s matchup. With Giannis Antetokounmpo doubtful for the contest, Siakam has the opportunity to take advantage of an easier matchup on offense. Milwaukee is also giving up the 5th most points to power forwards in the last 7 games.
Bobby Portis OVER 27.5 Points + Rebounds (-120 on FanDuel Sportsbook)
With multiple eyes on Damian Lillard and Antetokounmpo likely to sit out once again, there is room for Bobby Portis to leave another mark on tonight’s game. Portis was a spark of energy on Sunday, putting up 15 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 7-15 from the field. He has also hit this line in 3 of the last 5 games with Antetokounmpo out of the lineup. Coverage for Game 2 of this Eastern Conference series will begin at 8:30 PM Eastern time on NBA TV.
