The Green Bay Packers took 11 new players in the 2024 NFL Draft. Of course, this group of players is highlighted by first round pick Jordan Morgan, an offensive tackle out of Arizona. Other high-profile prospects that Green Bay took include safety Javon Bullard from Georgia (second round), running back Marshawn Lloyd (third round) from USC, and quarterback Michael Pratt (seventh round) from Tulane.
In addition to these players, the Packers also signed numerous undrafted free agents to their 90-man roster. As is the case every season, these moves were made in order to give the Packers assurance that the best players possible would be available for them when they trim their roster to 53 before the season begins.
However, it sounds like one undrafted free agent is already out of the running as he decided to retire from the game.

A little while ago, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Trente Jones, an offensive tackle that went undrafted out of Michigan, has been placed on the reserve/retired list by the Packers:
The Packers placed undrafted rookie OL Trente Jones from Michigan on the reserve/retired list.
They claimed DL Spencer Waege off waivers from the 49ers.

The reason for Jones’ decision has yet to be released. Just a few days ago, it was reported that Jones was a prospect “to keep an eye on” during rookie mini camp.
What Are the Green Bay Packers’ Options on the Offensive Line?

Green Bay already has a solid group of offensive linemen. Zach Tom played at a Pro Bowl level at right tackle last season and Elgton Jenkins is already a Pro Bowl left guard. Rasheed Walker is going to compete against Morgan for the starting left tackle job, and may end up as the team’s swing tackle if he loses his starting job.
The most interesting position battle is going to be for right guard, which was vacated when Jon Runyan Jr. signed with the New York Giants in free agency. Sean Rhyan will get a chance to compete for the starting job, but so will other drafted players like Jacob Monk.
Additionally, the Packers signed Donovan Jennings, an undrafted free agent from the University of South Florida.
Even with Jones suddenly out of the picture, Green Bay has plenty of options for their starting offensive line going forward.
