It has been a roller coaster of 24 hours with the Braelon Allen news. Yesterday, speculation swirled that Allen would leave Wisconsin and enter the transfer portal. Allen himself debunked this on his Twitter. While he didn’t say exactly what he would be doing, he debunked reports he was for sure in the transfer portal. Less than 24 hours later, Braelon Allen, Wisconsin RB, has revealed his decision on where he will play next year.

Braelon Allen, Wisconsin Badgers’ Top RB, Reveals Decision
“Update: sources tell me Braelon Allen is a Wisconsin Badger” This was what Braelon Allen tweeted out on Tuesday afternoon. It seems he has gone against what so many thought he would do. He is returning to Wisconsin. This is great news if you are a Badgers fan. He has compiled over 2,000 yards and 22 touchdowns in his two years in the program. He looks to be a big piece of the offense next year. This is a huge win for Luke Fickell and his staff. With so many players entering the transfer portal, it is great to hear that Braelon Allen is staying.
Good News For Luke Fickell
So far, Luke Fickell has not gotten a lot of great news on the recruiting front. Many players have entered the transfer portal or have been de-committing from the program. Braelon Allen is a great player and keeping him at Wisconsin will go a long way toward success next year. It may also have a ripple effect. Other recruits may look at that favorably if Allen is willing to stay. If nothing else it gives the Badgers a star RB going into next season.
After a string of bad news in terms of recruiting, it is certainly great to hear RB Braelon Allen is a Wisconsin Badger moving forward. Hopefully, Fickell and his staff can recruit the transfer portal well and the Badgers can subsequently compete in the Big Ten next year.
