The Transfer Portal adds another Badgers player
The Wisconsin Badgers have seen several players hit the transfer portal this week. Starting quarterback Graham Mertz announced he was hitting the portal on Sunday. The Badgers have also seen several recruits de-commit this week, including a four-star running back Monday night. Another offensive weapon entered the portal Tuesday.
According to a statement on Isaac Guerendo’s Twitter account, the Badgers running back is entering the portal.
“I want to thank my coaches: teammates, the strength staff, academic staff, and training staff for my last 5 years at Wisconsin. I have met lifelong friends along the way and made bonds that will last forever.
After a lot of consideration with my family, I decided that it would be best for me to enter the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining.”

Guerendo wasn’t the only Badgers player to hit the transfer portal Tuesday. According to Jesse Temple with the Athletic, cornerback Semar Melvin entered Tuesday. That brought the number of Wisconsin players in the portal to six.
