The Wisconsin hockey team has reached the highest point of their season after sweeping the #4 Michigan Wolverines for their sixth straight ranked win.

In the newest college hockey Power 5 rankings, Wisconsin sits atop the list after their stellar play has earned them a solid win streak. The Badgers improved to 9-1 on the season as they claimed the top ranking ahead of their match-up against the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing.

The Wisconsin Badgers hockey team has been dominating this season and finally feels like they have reached their potential. During this current win streak the Badgers are on, Wisconsin has defeated the #17, #1, and #4 ranked teams in that order.

This past weekend, Wisconsin hockey continued their dominance with a pair of wins over the fourth-ranked Michigan Wolverines squad.

In the first of the two games, Wisconsin won a thrilling game, coming from behind to defeat the Wolverines. Wisconsin entered the third period down two goals before Simon Tassy netted a power-play goal to even the score. Not even a full minute later, Owen Lindmark scored his second goal of the game to give the Badgers a 5-4 lead that they would hold onto.

In the second game, Wisconsin hockey started off red-hot with a quick power-play goal from Carson Bantle. Wisconsin held onto their lead until the start of the third period when the Wolverines netted the tying goal. The two teams remained tied until Mathieu De St Phalle scored the game-winning goal for Wisconsin with seconds left on the clock.

The Wisconsin hockey team is currently on a six-game ranked win streak with a chance to extend it this weekend. The Badgers are set to take on the #12 Michigan State Spartans away before hosting Alaska Anchorage. Wisconsin will get a much-needed break from ranked opponents against the Seawolves before their next stretch.

The Badgers will start the month of December against the #13 Ohio State Buckeyes and then the #17 Penn State Nittany Lions. Wisconsin hockey will get a much-needed rest break before facing Air Force in the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off on December 28th.
