The Wisconsin football staff has officially booked a visit this Spring with one of their priority targets in the 2026 recruiting class.
Marcello Vitti, a 2026 four-star athlete from Michigan, has received a handful of major scholarship offers over the past few months. Vitti has plenty of experience playing on both sides of the ball, as well as special teams, and his versatility has garnered many notable programs. The dynamic athlete announced his upcoming visit schedule for the Spring, and included the Wisconsin football program on his list.
Wisconsin Football: Four-Star 2026 ATH Books Exciting Spring Campus Visit
The Wisconsin football staff has locked in a Spring visit with one of their priority 2026 recruiting targets. Marcello Vitti, a four-star athlete, has been a fast riser in the recruiting world and recently announced his upcoming visit schedule. This past season, Vitti exploded onto the scene after posting one of the more impressive season statistic lines in High School football.
Vitti, a dynamic athlete, played running back, corner back, and safety for his team this past season. The athlete recorded 105 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and two fumble recoveries on defense. On the offensive side of the ball, Vitti recorded 752 rush yards and nine touchdowns on the ground, and also added 241 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.
After having such a successful year, Vitti received scholarship offers from Wisconsin football, Auburn, Kansas, Arkansas, and Tennessee. The most recent offer for Vitti has been Boston College, who also secured a visit with the recruit this Spring.
Can the Wisconsin Football Staff Land Marcello Vitti Over Penn State, Tennessee?
For the Wisconsin football staff, landing Vitti could be quite the challenging task because of the versatility of the recruit. Not only are other major programs such as Penn State, Tennessee, and Kansas involved, but the recruit can also play multiple positions at a high level.
Currently, it is unclear what position Vitti would prefer to play in college. Wisconsin football has primarily recruited Vitti under the watchful eye of running backs coach Devon Spalding, and plans on using the athlete as a running back. However, Vitti has also booked a visit this Spring with Boston College, who is currently recruiting the athlete as a safety and hybrid corner back.
To make things even more confusing, Vitti is being recruited by Kansas as a hybrid linebacker and safety. There is a variety of schemes and positions the athlete can fit into, so it will be interesting to see which direction he moves towards.
A Look Ahead: Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Eyeing First 2026 Class Commitment
Currently, the Wisconsin football staff has not landed a commitment in their 2026 recruiting class just yet. The Badgers have continued to make the 2025 recruiting class their primary recruiting focus, with only a handful of 2026 recruits currently on their radar. Wisconsin football already has a longstanding relationship with Vitti, and could make him their first 2026 commitment.
