The Wisconsin Badgers had a milestone of an evening on Wednesday night when they travelled to face Marquette, with two different players hitting two different milestones. The first was Sarah Franklin recording her 1,000th career kill. The second is Graduate Izzy Ashburn passing Margie Kaminski to become the sole leader in aces for Badgers volleyball.

Izzy Ashburn, the Ace Queen of the Wisconsin Badgers
In the third set of the evening, Izzy Ashburn was able to sink her 167th ace of her career that allowed her to become the all time leader. It was her second ace of the match, the first coming in the second set of the match.

Izzy Ashburn tallied 47 service aces in her freshman year, with 22 in a 2020-21 COVID-19-shortened season. She snagged 52 in 2021 which was good for 3rd best in the Big Ten. Her 0.39 aces per set ranks second on the all-time list for the Wisconsin Badgers entering this season.
