The Wisconsin Badgers may have had a rough week on the recruiting trail, but they landed a huge recruit on Saturday. Head coach Luke Fickell added to his haul of four-star recruits when cornerback Omillio Agard announced his commitment to Wisconsin.
Recruiting has really picked up under Coach Fickell, with the Badgers nabbing players from regions of the country that they do not typically visit. Agard is out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is the ninth best player in the state.
Amazingly, too, Agard picked Wisconsin over some pretty well-respected programs. These include Penn State, Alabama, LSU, and Clemson. And the video in which he announced his decision, spurning these big-name programs was ice cold.

In the video, Agard can be seen selecting a Wisconsin cap out of a lineup that includes Penn State, LSU, Clemson, and Alabama. As the crowd cheers around him, someone in a Bucky Badger costume dances up to the table and swats the remaining hats to the ground.
All in good fun, I am sure, but make no mistake: Luke Fickell is putting the Wisconsin Badgers football program on the map to a level that it has not been for decades, perhaps even ever. Not only was he able to pull a top-10 player in Pennsylvania away from Penn State, he pulled him away from Alabama.
Times are changing in Madison, and it is exciting!
