Wisconsin Badgers head coach Luke Fickell sure has his work cut out for him. To be fair, it is not really his fault. However, several Badgers football players have entered the transfer portal since he was hired, and many commits have since decommitted. Fickell and his staff are hitting the transfer portal as hard as they can, and have made an offer to Division-II tight end Kyle Morlock.

Kyle Morlock College Stats and Bio
Kyle Morlock spent the first three seasons of his college career at Shorter University. This school is a private, Christian university in Rome, Georgia. Morlock is from Blairsville, Georgia, which is typically outside of the Badgers’ recruitment circle. Even new coach Fickell said that the Badgers would typically be limited to a 300-mile radius when they recruit. However, he and his staff must really like what they see in Morlock’s tape.

Morlock’s first season of college football was during the 2020 COVID season. He had just six receptions for 82 yards that year. However, Morlock had a bigger role in the offense in 2021. That season, he had 21 receptions for 362 yards and five touchdowns. He was even better in 2022, racking up 30 receptions for 446 yards and six touchdowns.
Morlock Was Not Always a Tight End
Kyle Morlock was not recruited as a tight end. Rather, he switched to the position after starting at Shorter University. In high school, he played wide receiver and outside linebacker. He is currently 6’6″ and 210 pounds, and runs a 4.7 40-yard dash.
Wisconsin Is Not the Only Division I School Interested
Wisconsin has offered to Kyle Morlock, but they are not the only Division I school that is trying to recruit him. In fact, they are not even the only Big Ten school interested. Other schools that have extended offers to Morlock, per his Twitter, are LSU, Auburn, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Kansas, and West Virginia.
