Wisconsin Badgers Volleyball Reloading
It’s no secret that the Wisconsin Badgers are home to one of the more prestigious volleyball programs in the nation. This helps Coach Kelly Sheffield continue a strong pipeline of talent from high school into the program and building on success of previous seasons.
Over the years, the Badgers have seen plenty of success. They’ve had multiple Elite Eight appearances, along with a national championship win over Nebraska in 2021. This consistent success helps the Badgers find the top talent in the country, as Wardlow is poised to be. Wardlow’s addition to the team only strengthens their prospects for continued success in the Big Ten and on the national stage as their team graduates a heavy upper classmen team.
Wardlow’s Commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers
Wardlow’s commitment comes after of her Nebraska One club teammate, Keri Leimbach from Lincoln Lutheran, committing to the University of Nebraska. It’s a testament to the caliber of players emerging from the city and their impact on the college volleyball scene.
Last season, Wardlow showcased her skills in 83 sets with Lincoln Southeast. She recorded an impressive 203 kills, and 17 solo blocks. She also contributed 28 digs and 55 blocks. The 6 foot 5 middle blocker’s performance on the court caught the attention of Coach Sheffield and his recruiters, and they worked quickly to gain a commitment soon after the window for the 2025 class opened.. With her towering presence and formidable skills as a middle blocker, Wardlow is poised to make a significant contribution to the Badgers’ volleyball program.
