The Wisconsin football staff has been keeping a close eye on a talented offensive tackle within the 2026 recruiting class.
Marlen Bright, a three-star 2026 offensive tackle from New Jersey, has become a potential top target for Wisconsin football as they continue to scout him. Bright has attracted plenty of attention from major programs such as Penn State, Tennessee, and Stanford. During a recent interview with Wisconsin Sports Heroics, Bright broke down what his recruitment has been like as well as what has made a difference for him on the field.
Wisconsin Football Eyeing 2026 Three-Star Offensive Tackle Marlen Bright

The Wisconsin football staff truly loves their offensive line, and in order to maintain the standard along the line they have, recruiting becomes key. One such recruiting target the Wisconsin football staff has recently begun scouting is three-star 2026 offensive tackle Marlen Bright.
Bright, a New Jersey native, currently holds 24 scholarship offers with likely plenty more on the way for the big man. Coming in a 6-feet-6-inches and roughly 260-pounds, Bright provides both the frame and size to become a dominant lineman in college.
The Wisconsin football staff has not yet offered a scholarship to Bright, and has only just begun their recruiting process. As the staff continues to watch film on Bright, the chances of him earning another Big Ten Conference scholarship from the Wisconsin football staff seems likely.
Marlen Bright: “All of Them are Reaching Out Daily and All of Them are Showing Love to Me”

For Bright, the collegiate recruitment process has been pretty special as Bright has received an incredible amount of interest early on. Typically certain programs display more interest than others, or perhaps contact recruits more often than others. In the case of Bright, every program that is interested has been truly pushing hard to develop a relationship with the offensive tackle.
When asked about what programs are displaying the most interest, Bright responded by saying “Truly all of them.” The offensive tackle also added, “All of them are reaching out daily and all of them are showing love to me.”
In particular, Bright has drawn major interest from the Big Ten Conference with offers from Illinois, Penn State, Rutgers, Indiana, Minnesota, and Maryland. New conference addition UCLA has also offered a scholarship and shown interest in Bright.
What Does the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff, Other Programs See In Bright?

For the Wisconsin football staff and many other programs alike, Bright offers both speed and technique along the line that is hard to come by. When asked to describe his style of play, Bright stated, “I feel that I’m quicker than most other tackles and my technique I feel sets me apart from other recruits.”
The offensive tackle is able maintain his technique while still working at full-speed, which has allowed him to make blocks faster than most tackles. The balance between technique and speed is by far the best abilities that Bright possesses, but the tackle also provides quite a punch behind his blocks. With a 6-foot-6-inch frame, and nearly 260-pounds behind his blocks, Bright is able block both speed and power rushers with his size.
