The Wisconsin Badgers hired head coach Luke Fickell not too long ago. However, in such a short time, Fickell has made Wisconsin into a real destination for transfer portal student athletes. Today, he officially announced the hires of Phil Longo as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach and Mike Tressel as defensive coordinator/linebackers coach of the Wisconsin Badgers.
Of course, the Badgers football season ended with a victory in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl on December 27. However, the buzz around the program is still going strong. Tonight, at halftime of the Badgers basketball game against Minnesota, Luke Fickell was given a warm welcome as he came out to address the crowd at halftime.

Luke Fickell Calls Being the Badgers Head Football Coach a “Dream Come True”
During his address to Wisconsin Badgers fans, Luke Fickell had nothing but praise for the program. “It’s a dream come true. I’ll tell ya, I’ve been a huge Badgers fan from afar for many years,” Fickell said.
He went onto to state that he was proud to be a part not only of the football program, but the entire university as well.
Perhaps what was most impressive was when he talked about Wisconsin fans and former Badgers players. He said that he not only wanted them “to be proud of what we accomplish on and off the field, but even more so of how we do it.”
